    Sri Jayateertharu also known as "Teeka Kritpadaru" is believed to be Avatar of Lord Indra and Avesha of Shesha.     Shri Jayateerthara moola vrundavana, Malakheda. The vrundavana here is located on the banks of the river KAGINI. Old names of Malakheda are Parjanyapura, Maleya kheda, Anadi Agrahara, Manyakheddapura(Manyakheta). Around Malakhed: 1. There are ruined forts,stone arches and the place where the great palace stood. The durga betta where Shri Jayateertharu spent much of his time in his young age. 2. Yeragola Cave: This is the place where Shri Jayateertharu wrote his immortal works. Here one can find two other vrundavanas of Shri Ramachandra teertharu and Shri Vidyanidhi teertharu. Malakheda can be reached both by bus and train. By Bus: Gulbarga(35 kms). Malakheda is in between Gulbarga and Sedam(15). By Train: Nearest railway stations are : Malakhed Road and Sedam
